One thing South Luangwa is known for is its birds. Here are just a few of the ones I found most interesting, or at least the interesting ones that posed for photos. Many thanks to Ruth for helping with identification!
This one is a lizard buzzard holding a snake, although my mom is convinced it’s actually a huge millipede. She would rather believe she didn’t see any snakes while they were here.

Weaver nests are really impressive, and these are the biggest I’ve ever seen. Shown with elephants for scale!
